BROOKLYN 'S FAVORITE STREET FESTIVAL IS BACK!
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 TH, 2007
Brooklyn , New York , September 10, 2007 – The 33rd Annual Atlantic Antic Street Festival will be held this Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (rain or shine). This neighborhood favorite kicks off the fall season with a 10 blocks of food, festivities, and fun, from 4 th Avenue to Hicks Street. Don't miss ten live musical stages, plenty of activities for families, one-of-a-kind merchandise, and food from around the world. The New York Transit Museum's Bus Festival will coincide and intersect with this year's Atlantic Antic, taking place on Boerum Place. Admission to the Museum, around the corner on Schermerhorn Street, will be free between noon and 5 p.m..
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will speak at a press conference, to be held at 1:00 p.m., at the Downtown Atlantic Stage (364 Atlantic), to celebrate the Antic, and the official launch of the Atlantic Antic Food Map. All attendees will be able to pick up a free copy of this handy guide at the event.
The Atlantic Antic, which is presented by the Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation, and produced by auster*events, gives merchants, residents and street vendors the opportunity to open their neighborhoods to a wider audience during this annual New York City tradition. Closed to traffic for the day, the 2007 Atlantic Antic will showcase the rich cultural, culinary and commercial diversity along Atlantic Avenue.
