For Atlantic to Zagat Shopping Festival: Walk the Windows A to Z

The Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation invites performance artists, musicians, mimes, dancers, etc. to entertain on Atlantic Avenue on Saturday June 21 and/or Sunday June 22 during "Walk The Windows Atlantic to Zagat," a 2-day shopping festival celebrating the Zagat Survey's recognition of Brooklyn restaurants, shopping and night spots. You'll be busking in the historic Atlantic Avenue district of Brooklyn Heights, Boreum Hill and Cobble Hill on a major retail strip. Produced by the organizers of the Atlantic Antic, the event, Atlantic to Zagat is poised to draw thousands of pedestrians with fistfuls of cash to the Avenue June 21-22, including the press. So get your tip jars ready and your acts together.

Give us a phone number or email so we contact you with some pointers about where and when to set up for maximum exposure on Atlantic Avenue.

Show up on June 21 or June 22 on Atlantic Avenue anywhere between Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights and Fourth Avenue in Boreum Hill and start busking.

Again you should call or email us first so we can give you ideas on where to set up for maximum exposure.

We suggest you set-up by 11:30 a.m. and breakdown by 6:00 p.m.

More info about the day of events: The Brooklyn Borough President will kick off the day at 11:30 a.m. Saturday June 21 with a rousing public meeting at the Y on 3rd Avenue but stuff's going on all over the place at various shops and cafes offering discounts and cool in-store events. Your artistic contributions highlight the Master Plan which promises to transform Atlantic Avenue into a more aesthetically pleasing and pedestrian-friendly boulevard.
